Your Brain needs a workout in moving forward...

Previously I wrote an article on your body needs to move for you to move forward,

we are now concentrating on the brain. Able N’ Disabled hope that these options may be helpful to you or someone that you may know that who may benefit from the following:

Clincially Proven to Improve Hand Function in Just 2 Weeks

MusicGlove works by motivating users to perform hundreds of therapeutic hand and finger exercises while playing an engaging musical game.

To use the device, you simply put the MusicGlove on your hand and press play.

Then, follow along and make the appropriate pinching movements when each musical note floats down the screen.

I want to thank Flint Rehab therapy for their help with this article, check out their website www.flintrehab.com

FitMi Full-Body Neurorehab

Start by clicking on control, then the above line. I have witnessed Curly using this in therapy at Brain and Nuero in Mesa, Arizona and now we have purchased this for ourselves so when we travel, he will be able to continue doing his therapy. www.flintrehab.com

Below are some recent television articles which include some trials being done on stroke victims.

60 Minutes Australia

The above-mentioned video is a must watch if you or your friend, family member has experienced a debilitating stroke. This may not be successful for everyone and they are still learning how long it will last but I thought it was well worth the view. I contacted them and for us it will not work as Curly has both the stroke and MS issue. Give them a call 561-353-9707. They have a short evaluation that they do over the phone. Best of luck! Once again start by clicking on the line and then clicking on control. Thank you to 60 Minutes Australia for doing this.

Meet a pioneer in stroke recovery - CBS News

Check this out, this was a January article of a trial that was conducted at Thomas Jefferson University. Once again this may be an option for some but not all. Thank you to CBS News for having this article available.

Moving forward with disabilities in retirement is so important. Never give up, there are new developments happening every day!
