Welcome to Our Blog

We know you have things to do, places to go, and people to see.
We want to help you move forward with disabilities.

Kathy Patterson has been a caregiver to her husband, Curly, for over ten years.

Curly suffered from a major stroke over 10 years ago and was diagnosed with MS when he was 23 years of age. Since his stroke, he has been confined to a wheelchair. They both have decided that this would not stop their lives but enriched them. They now travel, attend family functions out of state, cruise, vacation in many destinations all over the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Several changes have happened from moving cross country, remodeling a home, purchasing accessible vans along with continued physical therapy.

They have experienced how to work with the airlines when traveling with your motorized wheelchair. Lived and worked abroad for 3 years.

No challenge is too big.

One summer they enjoyed a three-week trip through Canada and the east coast clocking over 7,000 miles.

These challenges have led to Kathy’s desire to build a blog sharing some of the hurdles they have overcome.

We hope you enjoy the articles and if you have any questions that need to be answered on disabilities please click here to send Kathy an email, she would be happy to pursue an answer for you.

So now start planning your things to do, places to go and people to see!!!
